Engraved seven-pointed hair comb from light-coloured wood. At the top a decoration of cuscus fur and light yellow and white feathers (probably parrot)

Axe of smooth, probably polished wood. The stone axe head is attached to the handle with rattan bindings.

Wind instrument decorated with engraved designs. Colours are red, blue, and yellow, but are probably applied later. Carved design is Asmat (GK).

Paddle made of dark-coloured wood. The blade of the paddle is pointed, and decorated with geometrical designs which are engraved. The raised areas are black in colour, the cut-out parts red, blue, white and yellow. Purchased in 1959.

Skirt made by women, made from strips of tree bark attached to a tree bark chord. Worn on the hip.

Shield made for the tourist trade. The shield has been carved from a dark coloured wood and ends in a prong. The front of the shield is decorated with animal figures carved out in relief. The raised outlines are coloured black and the figures are in red and white. The back of the shield is undecorated.

Shield decorated with typical Asmat carving. The raised outline of the figures is coloured black. The figures themselves are coloured red and the rest of the shield is coloured, probably with chalk. The back of the shield is undecorated with grip and shield carved from one piece of wood (tree root).

Bamboo case with a cover, made to keep tobacco or chalk in. Case and cover are entirely decorated with geometrical designs.

Parang (machete), possibly crafted for ceremonial use. On the handle carved from wood a casuaris feathered pom-pom is attached. The wide blade is crafted from metal. Purchased in 1961.
