Belt made of narrow strips. Meant to be worn on the belly.

Skirt, made from tree bark fibre. The band worn about the hips is decorated with repeating motives. Attached to the band are four bundles of woven grass cords. The grass cords are decorated with two tufts of grass.

Shield decorated with typical Asmat carving. The raised outline of the figures is coloured black. The figures themselves are coloured red and the rest of the shield is coloured, probably with chalk. The back of the shield is undecorated with grip and shield carved from one piece of wood (tree root).

Hourglass shaped drum or tifa. The drum has a handle and is carved from light wood. The body of the tifa has been decorated with geometric carved patterns, coloured white (carved parts) and black. The drum skin is missing. The original mounting of the skin a broad ring of bast fibre cord is still present.

Hook made of wood with cut out decoration. Used to hang food and other wares.

Bamboo case with a cover, made to keep tobacco or chalk in. Case and cover are entirely decorated with geometrical designs.

Bone dagger with a geometrical carved design. At the top of the handle tree bark is plaited around the knob of the bone. Attached to the knitting are strands with shells and tufts of casuaris feathers. Purchased 1950-1962.

Adze (knee axe) with smooth wooden stem with a black stone blade. The stem is made of a piece of trunk with sidebranch. At the end of the stem a cut-away has been made for the blade. This is fastened with the help of a wedge and bound with split rattan.

bow made of wood and rattan. Purchased in 1962.

Bracelet plaited from tree bark. Different patterns are plaited from yellow, black, brown, blue, three different shades of red. Probably used by men. Purchased in 1962
