The Papua Heritage Foundation(PACE) works on increasing the accessibility and dissemination of information on Papua heritage and culture within the Netherlands.

This is primarily done by getting hold of private collections, describing these and then making these accessible via PACE website.
Between 2001 and 2007, with the support of numerous donors, subsidies, fees and donations and especially voluntary work, PACE has put enormous effort into digitalising Papua heritage, with the following results:
1 - The creation of a tri-lingual website which provides easy access to  source material. The website and the related database provide a flexible and functional infrastructure. Last year, the website had 14.000 visitors and achieved an average of 59.000 hits per month.
2 - A clear procedure for mapping and describing Papua heritage found in the Netherlands.
3 - An organisation consisting of more than 50 volunteers who support the various aspects of the work of the foundation to ensure that it functions well.
4 - In 2007 approximately 250 private collections were registered, most of which were also donated to the foundation.
5 - An extensive network of contacts at home and abroad with a range of institutions and organisation, as well as key individuals interested in the activities of the Papua Heritage Foundation. Cooperation with these contacts will be intensified in the coming years.
